The fourth and final volume of our GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS series covers the years 1975 to 2022, spanning almost five decades, while some of the previous books in the series focused on films released within just a few years. The reason for this lies in the evolution of the genre itself. Not only did the number of productions decline significantly over time, but many films from the VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray eras either never received a theatrical release or were shown only in a very limited number of cinemas.

Even so, this vast period offers more than enough important films and fascinating poster artwork, including classics such as Dario Argento’s TENEBRAE, OPERA, and PHENOMENA, as well as Lucio Fulci’sTHE NEW YORK RIPPER And, as always, there are plenty of obscurities and curiosities waiting to be discovered.
This volume also contains a special bonus chapter dedicated to a closely related genre: the home-invasion film. We spent a long time debating whether these films should be included in the main body of the series, but ultimately decided that this subgenre deserved its own dedicated section.
With nearly 350 posters spread across 308 pages, GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS VOL. 4 is by far the most extensive volume in the series and, in our opinion, a fitting conclusion to our journey through more than 60 years of giallo history.

GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS VOLUME 1: 1969-1969 features more than 230 rarely seen images of rare posters for 56 films from 1961 to 1969, including genre classics such as Mario Bava's SEI DONNE PER L'ASSASSINO (BLOOD AND BLACK LACE), Antonio Margheriti's NUDE... SI MUORE (THE YOUNG, THE EVIL AND THE SAVAGE), Umberto Lenzi'sCOSÌ DOLCE... COSÌ PERVERSA (SO SWEET AND SO PERVERSE) and ORGASMO (PARANOIA), Romolo Guerrieri's IL DOLCE CORPO DI DEBORAH (SWEET BODY OF DEBORAH) and Lucio Fulci's UNA SULL'ALTRA (PERVERSION STORY).
But as promised, there will also be many more obscure and lesser-known films, such as L'ISOLA DELLE SVEDESI by Silvio Amadio or LE NOTTI DELLA VIOLENZA by Roberto Mauri. Even if the gialli of the 1960s were nowhere near as ‘knife murder-heavy’ as those of the 70s, there is a lot to discover here and much that has hardly ever been seen before (and probably never in this quality).
